Meet the Heart Behind Kwa Kuhle

“I sell convenience, the feeling of elegance & class,” Siphokuhle says.

Born and bred in East London, Siphokuhle’s formative years were shaped by an environment where positive role models were scarce, and substance abuse was prevalent in eKasi. These circumstances strengthened her resolve to forge a path that made a difference. From a young age, she committed herself to rising above these limitations and to actively reshaping the narrative for her community. Her vision extends beyond personal success — she is driven by the desire to inspire, empower, and create opportunities for those who come after her.

Siphokuhle Matiwane, Founder of Kwa Kuhle Hospitalities, is a Human Resource Management graduate from Nelson Mandela University and a dynamic young entrepreneur dedicated to elevating the standard of events in South Africa. She proudly identifies as a young, Black, female entrepreneur from eKasi (township).

Siphokuhle established her company initially as a catering business, but her leadership, insight, and commitment to excellence quickly revealed a broader need in the market.   Through continuous learning and hands-on experience, she expanded her capabilities into décor styling and event coordination. Her decision to broaden the service offering was informed by a consistent observation at events: clients, especially brides and hosts, were overwhelmed by the stress of managing multiple elements on their special day.

Recognising this gap, she repositioned the business with a clearer purpose: to provide an all-in-one, stress-free experience where every detail is expertly managed, making Kwa Kuhle a one-stop shop.

“I sell convenience, the feeling of elegance and class,” Siphokuhle says. Regardless of whether an event is hosted in urban venues or in rural settings with challenging conditions, Kwa Kuhle’s expertise aims to ensure that every client feels valued, celebrated, and immersed in a luxurious atmosphere. Siphokuhle’s commitment to delivering high-quality, seamless events has positioned her as a trusted professional in the industry.
